Uniform Policy
Dear Families,
As you know, Chancellor’s Regulations provide that schools in New York City may establish a uniform policy. Once again our Parent Teacher Association voted to support a uniform policy for our school for 2005-2006, and they continue to support that policy. We strongly support this decision, since uniforms eliminate the high cost of buying brand name and “fashionable” clothing and also eliminate the resulting distraction in classrooms. Thus school uniforms are required in our school.
School uniform for all grades:
Boys: White collared shirt, blue slacks, blue sweater or vest and a tie.
Girls: White collared blouse, blue slacks or blue knee length skirt, blue sweater or vest.
All students require closed shoes or sneakers. For safety reasons, students are not permitted to wear sandals, flip-flops, slippers or shoes with high heels.
